Weaving together the stories of Filipino America
Where We’re Headed
DIWA started on October 10, 2025, with one night in Portland for Filipino American History Month. A year later, 75 of us filled PAMANA at The Hoxton for a one-night-only screening of Filipiñana.
Filipino Americans here are spread across the city and the suburbs, and finding each other usually comes down to luck, a group chat, or a friend of a friend. But once we do find each other, we stick.

I'm in this for the long haul, and I'd love for you to be in it with me.

Questions?
-
No. DIWA is a small independent company (DIWA Media Holdings, LLC), and membership is a subscription to what we make, so it isn’t tax-deductible.
-
You’re still a member, with every perk of your tier. Your name in Chapter I, the locked-in price, and the Palay Gold mark are for people who join by the deadline.
-
Yes, anytime from your account.
-
Twice a year, in April and October. Chapter I ships in April 2027.
-
Not at all. Our gatherings are in Portland for now, but The Loom, the members page, and the printed chapters reach you wherever you are.
-
However you’d like. We’ll email you to confirm the spelling before Chapter I goes to print in March.
-
No. Saving your spot is free and doesn’t commit you to anything. When membership opens on October 30, 2026, we’ll email you a private checkout link. Complete it by November 30 to lock in your Founding status.
